When Can You Run It is the better pick
- You don't know which parts are in your PC and are on Windows: its detection reads them in one click.
- The game is not on Steam: its list covers many PC games from other stores too.
- You only want a yes or no against the official requirements.
When doesitrun is the better pick
- You want to know how well a game runs (for example "about 70 FPS at 1440p High"), not just whether it passes.
- You want to check a lot of games at once, like your Steam library or wishlist before a sale.
- You are on a phone, a Mac, Linux or a Steam Deck, or don't want to install anything.
- You are planning an upgrade and want to see which part is the bottleneck and what it would cost to fix.
Honest limits
An FPS estimate is not a measurement on your PC: drivers, patches, ray tracing and busy scenes can shift real FPS by 15 to 25 % or more. Every number on doesitrun carries a confidence rating, and the methodology page explains how it is calculated.
