FPS calculator: how many FPS will you get?
Choose your processor, graphics card and a game: the estimated frame rate appears right away, at your resolution, quality preset and upscaling. Free, no download, also on your phone.

How this FPS calculator works
The calculator compares your graphics card and processor with each game's minimum and recommended requirements on the same performance scale, then applies your resolution, quality preset, upscaling, the card's video memory and the game's frame cap. For 106 games the result is corrected against measured benchmarks. The numbers match the "Can I run it?" page of each game.
CPU- or GPU-limited?
Your frame rate is set by whichever part is slower for that game. The graphics card decides most of the time, especially at 1440p and 4K, so lower settings or upscaling raise the FPS. In fast shooters, strategy and simulation games the processor often caps the frame rate at 1080p, and then lower graphics settings barely help. The result above names the part that holds you back.
What is a good frame rate?
Around 30 FPS is playable in slower games, 60 FPS feels smooth for most players, and 120 FPS or more pays off in competitive shooters on a high-refresh monitor. Frame rates above your monitor's refresh rate still lower input lag a little, but you won't see them.

Frequently asked questions
- How accurate is this FPS calculator?
- It uses the same model as every game page on doesitrun: the game's real system requirements, a performance table of 360+ graphics cards and all common processors, checked against 1,579 measured benchmarks in 106 games. It is an estimate, not a measurement on your PC: drivers, patches, ray tracing and busy scenes can shift real FPS by 15 to 25 % or more.
- Which games can I check?
- 164 of the most played PC games are in this calculator, including League of Legends, VALORANT, Fortnite and Minecraft. Any other Steam game can be looked up by name on its own page, and your whole Steam library can be checked at once on the home page.
- Does RAM change my FPS?
- Having too little RAM causes stutter and long loading, but beyond what a game needs (usually 16 GB today) more RAM adds little FPS. Graphics memory (VRAM) matters more: if a game needs more than your card has, FPS drop at higher resolutions and settings, which this calculator takes into account.
