How the FPS estimates and verdicts on doesitrun.com are produced – explained openly, so you know what they are based on and how reliable they are.

What the estimate is based on

• Real system requirements. The basis is each game's stated minimum and recommended requirements (from the Steam store page; if Steam returns nothing, from PCGamingWiki; if they are missing entirely, estimated from release year and tags and marked "estimated").
• Performance database. Your graphics card and processor are placed on a table of relative performance scores (about 300 GPUs and all common CPU families, from public benchmark rankings) and compared with the requirements.

The calculation model

The model weighs graphics and processor performance, video memory (VRAM), system memory, resolution scaling, CPU limits, upscaling (DLSS/FSR/XeSS) and each game's own frame cap – not a simple "better or worse" comparison, but a weighted estimate for your resolution and quality level.

Calibration & community

• Checked against real benchmarks. Measurements from hardware reviews and players (hundreds of data points across dozens of popular games) keep the model honest; where measured data exists, the game is calibrated to it.
• Fine-tuned by players. FPS measured by real people on many PC configurations are compared with the estimates and improve them over time. You can report yours in any game.

Confidence & limits

• Every number carries a confidence rating (High/Medium/Low) – click it to see what it is based on.
• It is an estimate, not a measurement on your PC: drivers, patches, ray tracing, frame caps and background apps can shift real FPS by 15–25 % or more.
• If RAM or VRAM is below the minimum, the FPS number (which only reflects CPU/GPU) is not reliable – and the site says so.

Data sources
